I have a mac lip gloss that makes my lips dry bc its long wear. But I have another gloss that I want to wear over it besides the one it came with. I saw on the Tyra Banks show they were saying layering different lip sticks is a no no. But idk why. Is it?Is it okay to layer different lip sticks or glosses?
I have never had a problem with it.But,it needs to be done correctly.
If you are layering balm, lipstick, and gloss, then make sure to use them in that EXACT order. The balm (Chapsticks,LipSmackers,Carmex, etc.) needs to be the first thing you put on.Then give it 15 or 20 seconds to seep in,and after that, apply your lipstick over the balm.If the lipstick is not the shiny kind, then go ahead and layer the gloss right over it.
However, since most people use a clear gloss,I highly recommend that you apply the gloss with your finger,as to not make your clear gloss turn the color of your lipstick in the tube.Is it okay to layer different lip sticks or glosses?
I think you can layer lip gloss/ lip stick if you do it correctly.
some times what i like to do is put a color of lipstick on my lips then layer it with a clear shiny lip gloss.
I do it all the time! I use one brand of liner, another of lipstick, and an entirely different brand of gloss. If you like it, go for it! There's no harm in layering different brands.
I layer lip products and nothing has happened to me.
Revlon colorstay lipliner, then Burts Bees chapstick, then Revlon colorstay super lustrous lipstick and finally Revlon colorstay lip gloss.
i layer all the time. i put on chapstick, two different colors of gloss, or a lipstick (sometimes two colors) then add a clear gloss on top. so i mix them everyday...
