What's the difference between lip balm and lip gloss?

I was just wondering, because they seem to have a difference. What I don't know is, what the hell is their difference?What's the difference between lip balm and lip gloss?
Lip balm is used to keep your lips soft and often to protect from the sun's rays. It is usually more solid than lip gloss.


Lip gloss is used to add shine and/or colour to the lips.


But there are balms that act like gloss and glosses that act like balms. They're both useful.

Lip balm is a balm, like a chap stick, or vaseline, its used to heel sore, chapped, splitting lips, or just keep lips in good condtion and moisturized, i never leave the house without my vaseline, lol





and yea, lip gloss, is a from of lip colour, i.e in the way lip stick tends to be a matte block of colour, lip gloss is the same but really shiny, the colous thend to be more translucent,

Lip gloss is exactly that, glosses your lips. Does nothing but make it shiny.
The lip balm is like chap stick and lip gloss is shinny and glossy. Also lip gloss is better.
