there are some lip gloss that have a tree nut oil in them so if one is allergic to such things it can be dangerous.
moisturizers in lip gloss can make it appear to make your lips fuller but it really doesn't.How do plumping lip glosses work....do they even work at all or are they bullshit?
It depends on what brand you get and what ingredients are in it.
The Avon ones are awesome. BEYOND COLOR Plumping Lip Color SPF 15 with Double the Retinol is awesome. The plumping agent in this is retinol so it really works without the serious painful burning.
You can try it at www.youravon.com/dhullum Code fsany for free shipping too!
they r bs
i buy a really overpriced one from victoria secret
it hurts like hell but it works, i go from me to angelina jolie in like three minutes
i have lip venom lip plumper, has a tingly feeling %26amp; somewhat makes my lips look fuller, heres a passage from ivillage:
Some work by irritating your lips with ingredients like cinnamon. (It sounds worse than it is.) Others have moisturizing ingredients that smooth your lips. And some are more like a makeup base 鈥? when lipstick is applied over them, your lips look fuller. Then there are the flat-out treatment products, containing ingredients like alpha-hydroxy acids or retinol that are supposed to increase collagen production to give you plumper lips over time.
I use lip venom. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>
It works. It has ginger and cinnamon. These two spices act like vasodialators (increase blood flow by opening your capillaries). The increased blood flow will make your lips poutier. This lip gloss also has a ';burning'; feeling to it, this promotes an inflammatory response - or increased blood flow. Again, poutier lips.
However, you're not going to go from super thin lips to Jolie-puffy lips. You'll get a slight difference but nothing serious.
Your lips do look bigger when they've got shimmery stuff smeared on them. So pretty much any lipgloss could be promoted as ';plumping';. I haven't tried the ones you listed, however I assume they have some sort of spice to them.
The lip venom is super spicy-burning. Like, don't touch your lip then touch your eyes...awkward. You can't kiss anyone because it's really burning. To get the same effect, smear tobasco sauce on your lips...
Most have some sort of irritant in them which stings and well, irritates the skin on your lips causing them to swell. Generally its not a very noticeable plumping, but some brands are better then others.
They pretty much all work, the real question is do they give the results you're hoping for? That would be a 'no'. The majority really do plump up your lips just slightly. They usually just swell them a tad, but even still, the effect only lasts a little while--usually half an hour at the longest. I personally love them. You just have to keep reapplying when they start deflating.
BTW, Sally Hansen's plumpers are decent.
A lot of them don't work, I've worked with a lot of make-up in my life. Get Lip Fusion, it moisturizes them and keeps them plump for up to 9 hours (well, for me at least, on the label it says for 20 I think?) It's 50 bucks, so it's expensive, but in the end it's worth it 100%.
lip venom works REALLY well they have certian ingredients thata allow more blood flow and plump your lips kinda like when a dude gets hard the blood plumps his member up lol
