Have you noticed that the less expensive brands of lipsticks, lip glosses and eyeshadows arent as good?

as the better brands (maybelline, loreal, revlon and covergirl?) i dont buy Mac and the more expensive brands because they arent in my budget but i do buy Fashion Fair from Boston Store and I get it on ebay. i've noticed that those higher end brands feel better and look better.Have you noticed that the less expensive brands of lipsticks, lip glosses and eyeshadows arent as good?
i totally agree--inexpensive lip products are like off-brand mac and cheese--gross. it's one of those areas where you really see a difference in the texture, quality, and color depth of pigment, as well as high-tech staying power. in some things, all the research does matter. i'd rather have one better lipstick that i love than 6 or 7 crappy ones.Have you noticed that the less expensive brands of lipsticks, lip glosses and eyeshadows arent as good?
dur because they have better ingredients
I'm devoted to MAC and totally agree with what you've said. Someone gave me a Rimmel giftpack the other day and I tried the lipgloss on. It was horrible - the colour payoff was MINIMAL and the texture was too thin. MAC lipglosses are very thick and sticky and stay on for much longer, without tasting as terrible as that Rimmel one!
Yeah what you have actually concluded is true.

Firstly,

Pigment and fillers

Powdered products like blush and eye shadows generally contain pigment(color) and fillers(like talc). The more expensive brands often have more pigment while the cheaper brands typically have more filler. Cheaper products may use cheaper fillers as well.

Secondly,

Milling

Better quality products will be milled more times - ground into a finer powder - than others. Some products may be double milled, others triple.

Thirdly,

The way a product is packaged also matters. If a product isn't refined and milled properly and is then pressed too tightly into a package - it can be harder to use. You may also get wastage - meaning, you can't get the amount of makeup you want on your brush, or you may brush off a lot of excess while trying to get colour on your brush. When dropped, products that are packed too tightly crack easily. Meaning you may not be able to get the colour to apply in an even, creamy manner.

I guess that helped.:)
obviously...lol...
ya thats cuz they're cheap
cheap things are always not good.
Cheaper make-up can ruin the face especially when its old and they r selling it for a cheaper price. The best brands r the expensive ones, like Loreal, Maxfactor, Covergirl, Revlon, Maybelline, Australis, etc. They r expensive but they do the job so well that they won't let u down. They will make u look good. With cheaper lipgloss, they sometimes look good but the problem with them is if it is the kind of lipgloss that has a flavour e.g. strawberry, lemon, etc, they taste different and disgusting. When u find it like that, it means its old and need to be chucked in the rubbish bin quickly.
yeah there probley better but make sure if u buy them on eaby that there not open! lolo
